                    The carpets are made in Farahan city, found in central Iran, south of Tehran. They are also known as Mahal carpets in the west. They have Herati patterns, a flower inside a rhombus surrounded by four acanthus-leaves. Colors are mostly dark blue and red, while the colour of the flowers is lighter in order to create an optical tranquility the viewer.
